For many independent agencies, managing carrier relationships has become overwhelming. With the carriers' increased reliance on predictive modeling and multi-variant rating, the difficulty of finding the right market increases exponentially. The typical independent agency can only keep up with a few changing markets from week to week. The RAIS marketing approach takes away the guess work. Each RAIS commercial lines Carrier Specialist works with only one or two markets. Since they handle all volume for these one or two carriers, they are in continually, allowing for strong working relationships and a keen understanding of the market and changing underwriting appetites. We also practice a "make no assumptions" approach to marketing our agents' business. Every carrier reviews every piece of business. This is approach means that RAIS agents enjoy a commercial lines 52% quoted-to-bound hit ratio.

Renaissance Specialty Services
The Renaissance Plan is more than an insurance policy: it is a total plan to manage workers' compensation risk, reduce injuries and gain control over this costly benefit. The Plan combines traditional workers' compensation coverage with a proven strategy to minimize occupational injuries, manage medical care, and return injured workers promptly to the workplace.
In 2009, Renaissance Specialty Services partnered with Century Surety to offer our agents a specialty lines company focused on smaller commercial accounts that fall outside of standard commercial carriers' underwriting guidelines. Since this time, we have continued to build this business and to look for other opportunities to offer excess and surplus lines outlets to out agents.
